McLaren F1 GT “Longtail”

In the years following McLaren’s victory at the LeMans24 Hr race in 1995 with the racing version of their iconic F1 road car, the competition upped their game meaning development of the F1 had to be pushed even further.  Thus the F1 GT “Longtail” was born, with extended rear bodywork to give even better aerodynamics.  FIA rules meant that one road going version of the car had to be built to allow the car to be raced.  That car is held at the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, UK, and Photographer Wilson Hennessey was asked to photograph it for a McLaren web feature.  These are the pictures, retouched and graded here at Mustard Post.
